chopped bicycles

Snarly I The elder of the VMS fleet. Snarly I was a chopped Diamondback BMX. She was quite sturdy but handled like a piece of shit. I chopped the frame and added another frame, and now she's Snarly II (scroll down).
Prix Fixe Prix Fixe was a Raleigh Grand Prix fitted with a 46" front fork and a forcibly fixed gear. Having such a big nose took its toll, and just under a year later she suffered severe head trauma.
Martika Martika is a sub-$10 lowrider consisting of two girls' bikes and a black-and-silver 700C fork. She has been stolen twice and was recovered each time. I can't ride her anymore; my heart says yes but my knees say no.
Galaxy This is a chopped 24" Schwinn Hollywood with an extended fork and other lovely musclebike accessories. I made this sexy beast for my wonderful girlfriend Slug. Galaxy is currently out of commission because the front wheel got stolen late last year. Fuck you asshole.
Postfix Postfix is the current incarnation of a 1983 Raleigh Trail Rider, an early mountain bike, and features stock BMX handlebar, stock blue stem, and a 54" fork. She is the stylistic descendant of Prix Fixe and features a handbuilt fixed rear wheel.
UPDATE: the steer tube snapped at the fork monotube junction (thankfully, when I was going about 1mph). I will be converting to a threadless system and a solid/bitch-thick steer tube within summer 2005.
Snarly II Snarly II is Snarly I after the addition of another chrome BMX frame. A lowrider that can eat staircases alive.
